Meet Dr. Alichia Pecks
I founded Empower Health LLC to make sexual health care safe, accessible, and judgment-free. I have been working in healthcare since 1999, building extensive experience across multiple clinical settings, and have been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2020, This combination of long-standing experience and advanced clinical training allows me to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care while understanding the real-world challenges patients face.
At Empower Health LLC, I focus on discreet, high-quality treatment for STDs and preventive services like PrEP through telehealth. My goal is to create a space where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered, while ensuring timely access to care without stigma.
I believe healthcare works best when providers and patients are treated as partners. Every decision I make for this clinic is centered on breaking down barriers, improving patient access, and providing care with respect, compassion, and professionalism.

Credentials & Expertise
I earned my doctorate with a focus on improving healthcare delivery and outcomes. My doctoral work honed my skills in evidence-based practice and patient education.
I’m board-certified to provide primary care across the lifespan. I have treated patients from all walks of life – from teens to adults – and managed a wide variety of health conditions. My broad background as an FNP-BC means I am certified by AANP and I consider the whole person, not just one test or one disease.
I’ve worked in family practice clinics, urgent care, and telehealth settings. This includes substantial experience in sexual health: counseling on birth control, screening for STDs, treating infections, and advocating for patients who felt stigmatized elsewhere. I have also supervised clinical teams, mentored nurses, and participated in community health projects.
In addition to patient care, I have held leadership roles where I focused on expanding access to care and improving patient satisfaction. I spearheaded initiatives to increase community STD screening in underserved areas. I’m a member of professional organizations that promote sexual health and nurse practitioner practice. I aim to blend clinical excellence with an approachable, human touch.
